West Ham have struggled to find consistency so far this season but secured a vital three points on Saturday by sweeping aside Newcastle United in a 3-0 victory.
A solid performance from Manuel Pellegrini’s side presents the opportunity to build a run of form during the busy festive season that lies ahead, with the next fixture on the agenda being against Cardiff City on Tuesday.
While West Ham will be the favourites on paper, there can be no room for slip-ups and Robert Snodgrass could be an important player after he continued his impressive rejuvenation at the weekend by putting in another fine performance.
Signed by the Hammers in January 2017, Snodgrass quickly became surplus to requirements in the eyes of Slaven Bilic and spent last season on loan with Aston Villa before earning another chance to prove himself in East London.
The 31-year-old has featured in all but one of West Ham’s Premier League matches this season and has the supporters on his side, with many praising his display after Saturday’s win over Newcastle.
