When Andre Ayew hit that stunning shot, from outside the area, to put West Ham 2-0 up, before half-time, the Hammers travelling support had every reason to believe that the three points were coming their way.

Unfortunately, that wasn`t the case with Palace getting back into the game through a harsh penalty and then grabbing point with a 96th minute goal from Wilfried Zaha.

After the final whistle, Andre spoke to the media and gave his views on what had just taken place, remarking,

‘We conceded very early in the second half and the pressure was high as we were not able to get on the ball. We have to get back on the front foot and be ready for Liverpool at the weekend.

‘When you have a two-goal lead you need to keep that. It is not a bad response to the defeat against Brighton, but we should have left with three points.

‘Confidence comes game by game.’

It does and it has to be said the Hammers need something out of the game, next Saturday, against Liverpool.
