GSB are only tainting their reputation further with latest move – opinion

David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady are seemingly not the most popular of people in football at the moment.

They are even disliked by West Ham United fans, who managed to make #GSBOUT the top Twitter trend in the UK in response to Grady Diangana being sold to West Bromwich Albion.

They have also failed to get themselves on the good side of other clubs, notably having defaulted on the £5.4m installment that should have been paid to Eintracht Frankfurt for Sebastien Haller, as was reported by The Guardian.

In another high profile case from years gone by, they ended up having a war of words with Sporting Lisbon’s representatives over the failed move for William Carvalho, which was reported by The Evening Standard at the time.

Now, according to talkSPORT‘s Alex Crook, AFC Bournemouth have been left “fuming”, as the Hammers have agreed on personal terms with Joshua King before striking up a deal with them first.

Should West Ham be moving for King?

Yes

No

It is understandable that we want to go for the Norway international, as he managed 10 goal contributions in the Premier League for Eddie Howe’s struggling side last term.

However, the way GSB are going about completing this move surely puts them at risk of having their reputation tarnished with another club.

It feels like the West Ham owners can’t really afford for this to happen, seeing as they have already frustrated numerous people within and outside of our club.

This has to be of concern, as the more GSB’s reputation is tarnished, the fewer clubs will want to deal with us as long as they are at the helm at London Stadium.
