‘Great call’, ‘Be excellent with Haller’ – These West Ham fans want to sign £13.5m-rated U21 international

|

The talk of the lips of West Ham fans between now and the end of the season will mostly be centred around ensuring that they remain in the Premier League. The fans are desperate for survival, although, with an 18-day wait between fixtures, one West Ham fan account has called for the club to sign Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard should they survive.

It’s easy to see why some transfer talk has crept into the dialogue between the supporters, they’ve had plenty of football to watch without seeing their side, and it seems that Celtic’s win against Aberdeen yesterday was enough to convince a group of Irons that he should be signed.

It’s not hard to see why the Celtic man would be a good signing either. At 22-years-old the Frenchman has scored six times in 11 appearances for the French U21 squad, as well as bagging 19 goals and ten assists in 24 Scottish Premiership games this season alone, more than living up to his £13.5m Transfermarkt valuation.

The Hammers are obviously admirers of Edouard, but it’s up to the club to notice that and act upon it.
