Good news at last: Pellegrini reveals promising West Ham boost

|

It’s been a while since we last saw Jack Wilshere. He’s made just 4 Premier League starts this season, the last of which came on the 4th of November – over 4 months ago. It’s certainly fair to say that his transfer has fallen below expectations, but there’s always time for him to turn it around.

Fortunately, his chance to do that could come soon, with Manuel Pellegrini offering an update on his future during his pre-match press conference.

As per the official West Ham website, on their press conference live feed, Pellegrini said: “Jack Wilshere is almost ready. He played an U23s game last week and he will play another one. Hopefully next week he will be 100 per cent with us.”

It’ll be a huge boost to have Wilshere back. There’s no denying that he’s frustrated fans with his absence, but his talent with the ball at his feet is simply top class.

These injury problems, though, are a real worry. He needs to get a bit of luck, because we can’t afford to have another season like this year with the Englishman.

Hopefully him coming back before the end of the season will work out in his favour, as he’ll be able to spend the summer maintaining his fitness.
