‘Give us the league!’ – Loads of West Ham fans react to exciting transfer announcement

|

West Ham fans are thrilled by the signing of attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals from Villarreal.

The deal, which the Evening Standard has reported is worth £24 million is a coup for the Hammers who are getting a 23-year-old Spanish international who contributed five goals and three assists last season.

Given Fornals is the type of midfielder who likes to play behind the striker the transfer has also brought into question the future of Manuel Lanzini.

Lanzini missed more than half of last season through injury and struggled for consistent form towards the back end of the campaign.

However, West Ham fans are buzzing at the deal as a proven, international quality forward player is a real statement of intent from the club.

West Ham finished 10th last season and some fans were disappointed they could not replicate the form they had in the second half of the season before Christmas.

Fornals is a step in the right direction for many Hammers supporters and has received a positive reception from those on Twitter.
