West Ham United have certainly benefitted from the pairing of Manuel Pellegrini and Mario Husillos over the last 12 months.
The duo have turned the club around as they work in tandem together as the latter of the pair has managed to give the Chilean the players he needs to turn us into a team capable of competing with some of the better teams in the Premier League.
Last summer, we saw the arrivals of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, Fabian Balbuena, Lukasz Fabianski and Jack Wilshere among others, whilst the current transfer window has already seen us snap up Roberto, David Martin and Pablo Fornals, with Maxi Gomez hopefully joining us before the window closes!
A new direction and some ambition is all we have asked for the club to provide us with in recent years and the pair appear to be the winning combination for us at the present moment.
And, it appears one of our well-known fans, Geo Mackie, appears to share the same opinion of the Pellegrini and Husillos partnership and wants to see it extended into a longer project.
Time to give Pellegrini and Husillos new deals
They’ve both got 2 years left on their contract, let’s turn it into a longer project and show faith in our management team.
Ideally giving Husillos a longer deal so he can assist in recruiting Pellegrini’s successor, eventually!

Taking to Twitter, under the handle @redhammer8, he stated: “Time to give Pellegrini and Husillos new deals.

Indeed, it seems a number of fans that follow him as share the same thoughts as many of them replied to his comment with their positive thoughts on the situation.
One stated that he was ‘thinking this’ as well, whilst another gave agreed ‘100%’ with the view. Here are just some of the reactions…
Was just thinking this, fully agree

Pellegrini especially was such a coup for us, just having him helps us get players.

I would agree although think need to give it until October. Just to be on safe side. As long as we’re not in complete free fall then discussions should open then. Although knowing how Sully operates discussions won’t open until after the last league fixture in the 2020/21 season.
