French Midfielder on West Ham’s Radar As Transfer Deadline Looms

|

Tomorrow, Thursday, the summer transfer window will slam shut.

For us West Ham United fans, it has been the most exciting transfer window, just as David Sullivan promised back in May, we’ve ever witnessed.

But, has our club finished its wheeling and dealing or is there more to come?

Here at Vital West Ham United, we’re convinced that before the referenced window slams shut, we are going to see some more business completed, with movements probably taking place in both directions.

This morning, lurking in the pages of the media vehicle, 90 min is the inference that the club are looking to tie up a deal for a French midfielder.

The midfielder in question is Maxime Gonalons who is currently on the books of the Serie A side AS Roma.

According to our referenced source, the reported fee for the 29-year-old is around the £8.9 million mark.

But, we should point out our aforementioned source points out that West Ham face competition from two other Premier League clubs, Everton and Crystal Palace, for the players’ signature.

Can the Hammers get another deal across the line before the summer transfer window closes?

On the evidence of what has already happened this summer I certainly wouldn’t bet against it, it has been a real roller-coaster ride and it has certainly had more ups than downs.

Here at Vital West Ham, we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments on the above speculation and report back as deemed appropriate in what could very well be a hectic end to a memorable transfer window.
