Hot striking prospect Freddie Sears is the latest Hammer to sign a long-term deal. Sears today signed a deal with the club running up to 2013.
Sears will be 19 on Thursday, and is clearly delighted with his new deal:
‘It’s nice to know that the club wants you here, for that long as well. I am enjoying my football and all that I have been doing and hopefully I can now show there is more to come.’
This is further positive news in the week that saw Carlton Cole also sign a new long-term deal. Gianfranco Zola has clearly decided which players he sees as being part of his long-term plans, and Cole and Sears are part of that vision.
