The press continue to make mischief.

Although David Gold and David Sullivan have continually stressed that Sam Allardyce is not under any pressure with regards to his job, the press continue to put names in the frame for his imminent replacement.

Towards the back end of last week it was inferred that Billy Davies, currently in the hot-seat at Nottingham Forest, was the man that West Ham United would turn to, a rumour that was quickly dismissed by our co-owners.

Today the inference is that when, not if, Allardyce is shown the door then West Ham United Football Club will make moves to make the recently sacked ex-Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay the new incumbent of the position.

Personally, I`m of the opinion that although Sam has his enemies in the stands at Upton Park there is nobody who is currently out of work that could do a better job than a man who has been so unfortunate when it comes to the injury situation.
