So far this season West Ham fans have been yet to see the best of Pablo Fornals, and the Spanish midfield man has come under scrutiny from the fans for his slow start. On Saturday, though, he had the best game of his career in England so far.
Fornals played a lot better in that 2nd half. Best I’ve seen him play.

The ex-Villarreal man starred for the Irons against Chelsea, and it was his ball that fed Aaron Cresswell in down the left-hand side to bag the only goal of the game, which is a significant step for the young creative midfielder.
The fans were mightily impressed with his display on the day, and who can blame them. Now, though, a lot of the fans are desperate to see the midfield man step up again and on a more regular basis. It’s hardly a lot to ask for, and given what he did in Spain, it’s the least they should expect of him.
Will Pablo Fornals come good at West Ham?
Yes
No

Agree – seemed to be far more involved than he previously has.

He looked a completely different player hopefully this is him adapting to the league now and we can start to see the best of him he’s clearly got the ability

Confidence is all alot of these boys need. Im quietly confident Fornals will come good. Anderson had a much better game yesterday too.

Yeah, I think starting the game helped him a lot, we’ve really only seen him in 20-30 minute bursts where he hasn’t been able to get a handle on the game. Think him alongside Anderson works really well too – Anderson draws defenders in and gives Fornals a bit more space to play.

The Irons are desperate for Fornals to show what he did against Chelsea more often, and who can blame them given his level of performance.
