West Ham United fans managed to get a glimpse of one of their new signings over the weekend – albeit in an international match.
Pablo Fornals was recently unveiled as a new Hammer, and if the performance he put in for Spain’s Under-21s over the weekend is anything to go by, we will have some player on our hands!
He may have been on the losing side, however, the 23-year-old made a rather bright entrance in the second half when he came onto the pitch and clearly made an impression on fans that had witnessed him in action for the short period of time he was on the pitch.
According to a report by talkSPORT, Fornals completed all 15 passes he made in the 23 minutes and managed to complete two successful dribble attempts – with only three other players in the whole 90 minutes managing to do that.
The former Villarreal man may not have had too long on the pitch to showcase everything he can do, however, with must-win games against Belgium and Poland still to come, the playmaker could still show West Ham fans that there is plenty more to get excited about in the future.
Fans reacted to his brief cameo against Italy with positive opinions, with many impressed with what he had managed to achieve in the 23-minute spell he had.
Here are just some of their reactions to his performance…

Looked good on the ball. Nice pass for the header near the end.

I was impressed with Pablo Formals when he came on with just 25 mins to go for Spain u-21 v Italy u-21 what a baller he is I can see why Manuel Pellegrini & Mario Husilous bought him for West Ham! I think he will be even better than Manuel Lanzini in my opinion! ⚒️????

Balague is the expert for Spanish football. Just shows how good of a player Fornals is. Cannot wait to see him in claret and blue week in week out. Exciting times.
