East London rocked by another transfer saga as West Ham star wants to leave – report

West Ham United forwards and transfer sagas are going hand-in-hand this January, as Javier Hernandez now ‘expects’ to leave.

The Hamers have already received two bids for the Mexican forward, with Monaco and Valencia reportedly interested in the 30-year-old.

Neither efforts proved successful, though, as the Hammers rejected the French outfit’s €11million (£9.5m) bid and the La Liga side’s €8m (£6.9m) offer, stating a demand of €15millon (£13m).

ElDesmarque have also reported that a meeting was held at London Stadium on Monday to discuss Hernandez’s future, who is reportedly ‘expecting’ another offer to come in for his signature.

It is the Daily Star who are making that claim, and reported on Tuesday that the Mexican international’s time at the London Stadium could draw to a close before Thursday’s transfer deadline passes now that Marko Arnautovic has signed a contract extension, ending any speculation that he could leave for China in January.

The 30-year-old has started just seven Premier League games so far this season, and is clearly behind the Austrian in the pecking order.

With the former Stoke City star guaranteed to be in east London until the summer, West Ham could easily sanction Chicharito’s departure and focus their efforts on signing Che Adams, now that Birmingham forward has emerged as a potential signing, according to the Daily Star.
