Transfer speculation, as printed in the Sunday press, has West Ham United linked with the purchase of two players.

The first is the Norwich winger Robert Snodgrass with it being intimated that relegated Norwich may be forced to sell some of their assets.

Snodgrass, a Scottish international, is rated in the £3 million bracket, a fair price for the 26 year-old. However, the inference is given that a deal for the player may be held up due to an on-going hernia problem.

The second player linked with a move to Upton Park is the French youngster M`Baye Niang.

Niang has something of a reputation of a wild-child and has spent the last year on loan at Montpellier, from his parent club AC Milan.

It`s suggested that West Ham would like to bring Niang to Upton Park on loan but Milan would prefer to sell him for a fee said to be in the region of £3 million.
