‘Don’t allow this’ – These West Ham fans are ‘not happy’ regarding rumours with fierce rivals

A number of the West Ham United fans took to Twitter after hearing the news that Nathan Trott could be about to join one of our fierce rivals, Millwall.

According to ExWHUEmployee, via Twitter account West Ham Fan Zone, the Championship outfit are thought to be keen on taking our young goalkeeper on loan this season.

The 20-year-old is one of our most exciting academy prospects to break through the ranks in recent years, and we expect him to have a big future between the sticks for us when the time comes.

A temporary move, though, would be in his best interests at this stage of his career, as he would be able to get a taste of competitive football and would only develop his game further by playing regularly in the Championship.

But it seems many of the faithful are not quite happy that it could be with Millwall.

A loan deal can be seen as a way of helping another team out and nobody would like to see their fierce rivals receive a helping hand – regardless of whether they are in a different division or not.

We might have taken David Martin from them, however, that does not appear to mean they can take one of ours from us on a short-term basis according to some of our fans on Twitter.

One fan begged for the club not to allow it to happen while another admitted they just did not want the club to deal with Millwall again. Here are some of their reactions…
