Fans blaming Nigel Reo-Coker for the departure of former manager Alan Pardew may want to reconsider their views, according to Alan Curbishley.

After being jeered before the victory in which he scored the only goal of the game and the winner, Reo-Coker claims to of had received abusive and racist hate mail. The new manager Curbishley though wants to put and end to this;
‘I’m asking all the West Ham fans to get behind the team and get behind Reo-Coker as well’
‘I think we’ve got to draw a line under the situation’, he told BBC Sport.

Any negative views expressed towards the Hammmers captain can’t be great for the general confidence of the club, as we currently lie in 18th place in the league and an away tie on Saturday at 12.45pm with Fulham looms.

The departure of Pardew has certianly stirred the team up, possibly for the good. Last week’s sensational victory over current league leaders Manchester United reminded many of the West Ham of old, which to me is unachievable without Reo-Coker pulling the strings in midfield. If you’re at the game tomorrow, make sure to give him a big clap, after last week’s performance he deserves it.
