Already, over the past ten days or so, the press had re-iterated several times that if West Ham were to add to their playing staff they`d have to offload players first and that is now something that Sam Allardyce has confirmed.

Speaking ahead of our long trip to Newcastle this weekend, Sam revealed that there is no more money to spend, remarking,

“I`ve got no money left.”

“That`s it. If we wanted t bring a new player in we would have to sell some players.”

“But I`m not looking to do that because I`m happy with the squad I`ve got.”

“I`m not panicking because we`ve done all our business as quick as we can.”

And in an ideal world that is how it should be, it enables those who are brought in to gel with those that were already here.

The only question I have though is whether the squad we have assembled is better than the one we had and whether we can improve on the 10th place finish of last season.

Your thoughts on the subject would be most welcome!
