Championship team still interested in move for experienced West Ham outcast

|

With only a week remaining in the summer transfer window, we’re entering a decisive period of the calendar for Premier League clubs. Without question, over the course of the coming days, we can expect plenty of arrivals and outgoings. One player that could be poised to depart West Ham is Robert Snodgrass.

As the Birmingham Mail reports, Aston Villa are keen to sign on another loan deal, but the Championship side are awaiting a response from the club. Seemingly, West Ham are still unsure whether to use the Scottish international or not this season.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a tremendous season for the Midlands club last campaign, contributing towards 21 league goals – scoring eight and registering 13 assists. Considering the fact that we’ve already signed Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmloneko, it’s difficult to envisage the Scottish winger attaining consistent game time.

Without a doubt, he would be a useful option to have from the bench, but that evokes a question whether Snodgrass would be content to stay and play a bit-part role.
