With West Ham United declaring yesterday that Robert Snodgrass is surplus to requirements, we`re eagerly waiting to see where the Scottish international goes next.

Today as the round of Premier League and Football League fixtures loomed large on the horizon, one Championship manager used his pre-match press conference to admit his interest in signing the 29-year-old.

The manager in question being Simon Grayson, now in charge of Sunderland and charged with returning the fallen giant to the Premier League.

Speaking about Snodgrass, Grayson remarked to those in attendance,

‘When people like him become available you would be foolish not to consider it.

‘That would be a deal dictated by finances. Can we do it? Who knows, but we might ask the question.’

I guess in the end, it`ll all come down to money, everything seems to these days.
