West Ham United have been without summer-signing Andriy Yarmolenko since his season was ended with an Achilles injury in October, but the winger has fans talking again after thanking the London Stadium faithful for their support.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was the fifth man brought to East London by Manuel Pellegrini when he signed a four-year deal in a £17.5million deal.
Unfortunately, the Achilles injury suffered against Tottenham after 40 minutes brought his season tally of appearances to ten and out, as the blow was a campaign-crippler – Yarmolenko had scored twice in the Premier League.
His short spell playing at the London Stadium did not stop the winger from growing affectionate for the West Ham faithful, as he has recently thanked the club’s fanbase for their continued support while he nurses himself back to fitness.
The winger has been quoted by the West Ham official website stating: “I’ve had so many positive messages from West Ham fans. For me it really helps.
“West Ham supporters are really passionate and I think we, as a group of players, we really appreciate that.
“When I come to the matches you can really feel the noise from the fans getting behind the team. I can’t wait to be back and to feel this again.”
