‘Can’t believe we sold him for peanuts’: Some West Ham fans react to recent departure’s performance

|

West Ham have found their footing in the Premier League under Manuel Pellegrini after winning each of their last three matches.

The Hammers saw off Newcastle United on Tyneside before beating Cardiff City and Crystal Palace at the London Stadium, a result which sent Pellegrini’s side surging up the standings to within the battle for a top-half spot.

A very active summer saw West Ham splash in excess of £100m in new additions, bringing the likes of Lukasz Fabianski and Felipe Anderson to the club, but it is one of the more recent departures that has got some fans on social media talking.

19-year-old Domingos Quina moved across the Premier League to join Watford in the summer and has recently made his mark, earning his league debut for the club in the recent defeat to Manchester City before earning his first start in Monday’s 2-2 draw with Everton.

Some West Ham fans reacted to what they saw from the teenager, while Watford fans praised his display. We have gathered some of their comments below.

Quina looks surprisingly decent for Watford tonight against Everton. I’m shocked by his defensive work rate. from r/Hammers
