West Ham have struggled to find stability so far this season, losing seven of their opening 13 Premier League matches.
Manuel Pellegrini splashed in excess of £100m on new recruits during the summer transfer window but has so far failed to lead the side to major improvements on the field, with the Hammers crying out for further additions in January.
The midfield areas continue to look weak despite the signings of Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere in the summer, with both players currently on the sidelines due to injury, and some fans on social media believe this is a position where West Ham should focus in the New Year.
However, it seems not everybody is on the same page as one fan was met with vast amounts of backlash after suggesting that West Ham should look to sign Australia international Aaron Mooy from Huddersfield Town.
While the 28-year-old impressed at the weekend after scoring a brace against Wolves, some identified his lack of consistency this season. We have gathered some of their reactions below.
Guys been missing for Huddersfield for 12 games mate, have a day off

Think I’d rather someone who can play a killer pass like Shelvey
