Manuel Pellegrini’s record at West Ham in the domestic cup competitions has been far from desirable so far. The Hammers have beaten AFC Wimbledon, Macclesfield Town and Newport County in the Carabao Cup as well as Birmingham in the FA Cup, but the sides they’ve lost to have been shockers.

As we all know all too well, Pellegrini’s side shipped four goals against both Wimbledon in the FA Cup last season in the 4th round and against Oxford United in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup this season, and now they face a 3rd round FA Cup clash in front of the cameras away at Gillingham.
Priestfield Stadium will host the clash, and the TV details have been released, detailing that the Irons will kick off at 18:16 on Sunday, January 5th (whufc.com). The fans are far from happy about the time of the clash, but they’re more worried about the potential of another embarrassing upset live on BT Sport.

The Hammers are far from happy with the tie or the fact that it’s on TV, and will just be desperate to avoid being shown up.
