Bundesliga club set their price for West Ham target

|

Manuel Pellegrini has publicly disclosed his intention to continue with our summer recruitment, and the volume of transfer speculation has intensified following the revelation. Rumours linking us with a move to Mainz’s Yoshinori Muto continues to circulate.

As Bild reports, we’re reportedly interested in the services of an additional striker, and alongside Newcastle United, we have an interest in signing Yoshinori Muto from Mainz. The Bundesliga club are believed to be insistent upon a fee of €20M to allow the Japanese international to depart.

That said, the report states that the striker could choose to run down his contract, and leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the forthcoming season.

Verdict:

The 26-year-old has a decent goal-scoring having amassed 49 goals in 131 appearances at club level, and while he may not be the most suitable individual to lead the attack, he could prove to make a purposeful impact from the bench.
