Many West Ham United fans were salivating over some potentially huge news that could have significant implications on the way that the club is run.
J.Hobbs News Hub shared a screenshot on Twitter (via @JH_Journalism) from West Ham Online forum, that suggested the Hammers could be sold to either a US or a Middle East-based consortium in the near future.
This comes after David Moyes’ side suffered back-to-back defeats on their return to Premier League action, following the temporary suspension of the campaign, which saw them slip perilously close to the relegation zone.
Will GSB sell the club in the next two years?
Yes
No
Current owners David Gold, David Sullivan and Karen Brady are deeply unpopular figures at the London Stadium following a series of controversial decisions that they’ve made as chiefs of the board room.
Unsurprisingly, supporters were left drooling over the prospect of new owners at East London and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the news brought tears to his eyes, while another said that he was “on his knees”, hoping that this turns out to be true.
