After the disappointing home defeat, at the hands of Newcastle United on Saturday, the Hammers support are looking for a festive pick-me-up on Boxing Day.

West Ham make the trip to the south-coast to face AFC Bournemouth in a Premier League fixture with the sides sitting 4th and 3rd from bottom respectively.

Ahead of the fixture we have some early team-news;

Starting with our hosts Bournemouth:

Eddie Howe will be without the services of the former West Ham striker, Jermain Defoe. The striker is side-lined after fracturing his ankle in a challenge with Ethan Ampadu during the EFL Cup quarter-final in midweek against Chelsea.

Another with West Ham connections, Junior Stanislas, is also likely to missing after picking up a hamstring injury in the recent defeat at the hands of Manchester City.

However, Howe is hopeful that Joshua King and Charlie Daniels, both of who are rated as doubtful, might be fit enough to be considered fit enough for selection.

Continuing with West Ham United:

David Moyes will be able to call upon the services of Manuel Lanzini after the midfielder completed the two-game ban he picked up in the recent fixture away to Stoke City.

Definitely out, courtesy of an injury, is Jose Fonte whilst our captain, Mark Noble, is a doubt with a hamstring problem.
