West Ham suffered their seventh defeat in 13 Premier League matches on Saturday after Manchester City strolled to a 4-0 win at the London Stadium.
While a comfortable victory for Pep Guardiola’s side was not surprising given the Citizens’ dominating performances over the course of the past 18 months, many were left unimpressed by the performance from West Ham.
The Hammers attempted to play on the front foot and in some aspects it worked, creating a number of half chances, but it left the defence wide open – and Manchester City did not take look to tear their way through West Ham’s defence.
That left many with the feeling that West Ham simply rolled over when matched up against a superior side and plenty took to social media to vent their frustrations, making it clear they demand more from the fixtures that lie ahead.
We have gathered some of their reactions below.
How many goals have we now conceded within the 6yd box? @WestHamUtd
