West Ham United’s Premier League campaign is almost with us.
The restart following the temporary suspension of the season is a tricky one for the Hammers with a home tie against Wolves at the London Stadium.
David Moyes’ side are preparing for a relegation scrap as they sit 16th in the standings, level on points with Watford and Bournemouth who are currently snaking into the drop zone.
The visitors are having a strong season as they are 6th in the table and chasing those all-important European places for a second successive season.
With this in mind, football.london journalist Sam Inkersole gave a gloomy prediction on what he expects from West Ham when kick-off comes.
Wolves are a bogey team for West Ham since 2018 – the Hammers haven’t scored a goal against Nuno’s men. This weekend is an early shot at a massive confidence boost in more ways than one. https://t.co/M6EBS8rg9s

He, sadly, has a point. They are without a win against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side since 2016 and have fallen to defeat. as well as failed to score, in their past three encounters, as per 11v11.com.
It will be a huge result and a galvanizing morale boost to the squad if they can get a result in this game, sending a clear message to the teams around them in the standings.
