Last season, as Burnley made a return to the Premier League, Turf Moor was something of a fortress, although away from home it was a different kettle of fish for Sean Dyche`s side.

This season Burnley have improved, their away form is amongst the best in the Premier League and was kick-started by a fine opening day win at Chelsea, the reigning Premier League title holders.

The game, on Saturday afternoon, will be a difficult fixture for West Ham to get anything from, although we can but hope.

At his pre-match press conference, ahead of the game, Slaven Bilic had a few words to stay about our opponents, remarking to the assembled journalists,

“Burnley are doing extremely well home and away. Last year they were a little bit too cautious, within reason, because they had been promoted and then relegated before.

“Last year they were playing more on reaction than action, but they have changed it. They are still very solid and when needed very direct, but you can see them play and being braver with the ball and on the ball.

“They kept the core of the team but added some more players and if you compare the team from the first game of last season, they have five new players.

“They have confidence and are playing well.”

They are and they will, but West Ham, we`re hoping, will surprise everyone and get that win.
