Returning to the axing of Slaven Bilic, on Monday, following the home defeat at the hands of Liverpool, it appears that the Croatian held some kind of inquest with his players.

Keen to find out where a promising start had gone so wrong, Bilic, according to the Daily Mirror rang his players to ask for their views on the subject.

Our referenced source is suggesting that the players believed that there were issues relating to time-keeping with players arriving for training late and Bilic allowing it to go unpunished.

It seems that although the players arrived late, Bilic didn`t make an issue of it and there were no fines imposed.

There`s also the suggestion given that the players were unhappy about the quality and intensity of the training in the final weeks of Slaven`s reign.

If true it would appear that an element of unprofessionalism and allied with some sloppiness had contributed to our poor season. If that is the case then it isn`t something that should ever have happened to a club, like ours, who have ambition.

Hopefully, David Moyes will be able to turn matters around, otherwise I fear for our future.
