West Ham’s senior side may not have got the result they wanted as they bowed out of the PL Asia Trophy in 4th placing, losing 4-1 to Manchester City before falling 1-0 to Newcastle, but the U23s are certainly doing their bit, winning 3-1 against FK Humenne, with even Jordan Hugill on the scoresheet.
And another! Jordan Hugill combines brilliantly with Nathan Holland before volleying in the winger's cross at the far post!#HUMWHU 0-3 [67] pic.twitter.com/iQ3ZD2zOIo

Hugill has become something of a running joke with West Ham fans. The 27-year-old was signed from Preston North End by David Moyes in a dubious deal considering his agent is Moyes’ brother.
However, on the pitch, the striker never gives less than his best even if he may not be good enough to cut it at the highest level. Since his move to The London Stadium, he’s featured just three times for 22 minutes of Premier League action before going on-loan to Middlesbrough, Transfermarkt.
It now looks like his future at West Ham is uncertain, but a few more top performances and goals for the U23s may just convince Manuel Pellegrini otherwise.

The Hammers may not all be sold on Hugill but as long as he’s scoring for the U23s it’s hard to knock the 27-year-old.
