West Ham have struggled to find consistent form this season but handed themselves a huge boost on Saturday by defeating Newcastle 3-0.
The Hammers win means they started December with a vital victory, which presents a platform to build upon over the course of the busy festive season that lies ahead – with Cardiff City next up at the London Stadium this evening.
While all eyes will be cast on the match, plenty of supporters cannot help but monitor the goings on behind the scenes and plenty have made it clear they want to see Pablo Zabaleta’s stint in East London extended.
Now 33, the Argentina international has suggested he could bring an end to his career at the end of the season but plenty of supporters believe he still has enough in the tank to be an asset for another year – and they have not shied away from making their opinion heard.
After another fine performance against Newcastle, many took to social media to praise his display and some used the opportunity to urge Zabaleta to extend his deal.
