West Ham continued their fine start to December by beating Cardiff City on Tuesday evening, with a 3-1 victory securing back-to-back wins for the Hammers.
The result saw the Hammers rise to 12th, just three points off a position in the top half of the standings, and means that Manuel Pellegrini’s side now boasts a healthy nine-point cushion above the Premier League’s relegation zone.
An impressive performance saw substitute Lucas Perez score a brace with Michail Antonio also putting his name on the scoresheet, while Lukasz Fabianski also stood out after saving a first-half penalty to prevent the Welsh side from taking the lead.
However, the performance was certainly not perfect as Josh Murphy tucked home in the dying moments to prevent the Hammers from keeping a clean sheet – and plenty of fans on social media were not happy with the incident late in the game.
We have gathered some of their reactions below.
