Football can, sometimes, be a cruel game.
At the Emirates Stadium, West Ham United gave a good account of themselves but still ended up on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline.
Although Arsenal took the lead, through Montreal, the Hammers fought back to equalise through Arnautovic.
Indeed, if the Austrian had his shooting boots on in the first-half, the Hammers might well have taken the lead.
But, at 1-1, with the away support hoping their side could go on to win the game, it slipped away from us in the most unfortunate of ways.
A harmless ball in from Ramsey, somehow, ended up in the net after Rice decided to duck under it, therefore, catching Hart unawares and the ball, before anyone could recover the situation, was in the net.
At 2-1, Arsenal were suddenly full of confidence and two goals, in the last five minutes of normal time, flattered the North London side.
