Trailing to the early strike by Gabbiadini, against Southampton, the last thing West Ham needed was to be reduced to ten-men.

Now whether the red-card Marko Arnautovic received was for a moment of madness or whether it was a pre-meditated act, we`re unable to confirm.

But, there`s no denying it affected West ham`s chances of getting a result from the game.

Following the game, Slaven Bilic had this to say about the incident,

‘It is a big blow because you have to play with 10 men for a big part of the game. We have spoken about everything and that will stay inside the dressing room.’

And as for Arnautovic, the summer signing took to the social media network to have his say, offering the following apology,

‘I want to apologise to all of the West Ham fans. Just want to let you know that I didn’t want to let me team down and you fans. A big apology to you all.’

Arnautovic will now miss the next three West Ham Premier League games due to a ban invoked for violent behaviour, we also suspect he`ll be fined by the club for his misdemeanour.
