On Saturday, against Southampton, Michail Antonio left the field of play very early with an injury.
It was obvious, from his demeanour, Antonio knew he could be absent from first-team duty for a long while, with the 28-year-old in tears as he walked, gingerly, towards the dressing-room.
Today, news has broken that, sadly, Antonio will not play for the Hammers again his season.
The injury that caused him such distress has been confirmed as a hamstring injury.
For Antonio, it has been an injury hit season with the player making just 21 appearances and scoring on 3 occasions.
