GSB may make controversial decision even worse for West Ham fans – opinion

|

Porto want to sign West Ham United winger Felipe Anderson on loan for the rest of the season, according to talkSPORT.

While the deal would initially be a temporary one, it is also suggested within the report that the Portuguese giants are hoping a permanent sale will be made an option after.

David Moyes is said to be happy for the 27-year-old to depart, as he has only made very brief cameos in two Premier League matches this term.

While the Brazilian hasn’t done much so far this season, allowing him to leave would make a complete mockery of the sale of Grady Diangana to West Bromwich Albion earlier in the transfer window.

Hammers fans were so furious with David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady after the sale that the collective made #GSBOUT the top trend on Twitter in the UK.

It was so frustrating for the majority of us, which was only compounded when he scored an impressive goal to open his Premier League account against Everton.

Should West Ham let Anderson leave?

Yes

No

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jim White suggested that the reason behind selling the 22-year-old was that West Ham have eight players who can play on the wing, while Diangana is the only one they could sell.

This is already proving to be flawed, as the radio host went on to add that the money would be used to strengthen the defence – so far they have signed Vladimir Coufal, who only cost £5.4m according to BBC Sport, which is less than the Diangana sale.

If the Hammers don’t manage to bring in any more, that will be bad enough when considering how excited we were to see the winger in claret and blue on a regular basis.

However, seeing Anderson leave for a Champions League club, with a potential permanent deal coming at the end of it, would make this feel even more unjust.

There are many who feel that selling Diangana has seen GSB make a mockery of West Ham and our fans, letting Anderson leave would only accentuate that.
