“A damning indictment”: Sam Inkersole sums up West Ham’s latest transfer report

|

I tried to sum up this latest transfer in a couple of hundred words, but it turns out it can be done in a lot less than that.

I guess that’s why he (probably) gets paid a lot more than me to write about this sort of thing. As you’re probably aware by now, reports are circulating that West Ham United have accepted a £12m offer from West Bromwich Albion for wide man Grady Diangana, that could potentially rise up to as much as £18m depending on various add-ons.

It’s a move that has not gone down well with many West Ham United supporters as they feel that he should be going for a lot more than that. Hammers correspondent Sam Inkersole did his best to sum up the situation, with the final two words of it doing an excellent job.

There have been further reports claiming that Fulham and Aston Villa have also shown interest in his services at this late stage, so it’s possible the club could turn this into a bidding war and try to get some more money out of the deal, but unless it’s significantly more, I don’t think it’s going to be enough to really turn the fans around on the matter.

What about you? Do you think that this deal is far too low for Diangana? What do you think the club should have accepted?
