‘A complete waste’: Some West Ham fans criticise forgotten man on injury return

|

West Ham have work to do after the international break as the Hammers have failed to find consistency under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.

Six defeats in the opening 12 matches has left the East London side hovering at the wrong end of the Premier League table and, although relegation is not really a threat at the moment, vast improvements are needed.

Pellegrini splashed in excess of £100m during the summer but the club are still lacking in a number of areas despite his movement in the window and there are not too many options leading the line.

Marko Arnautovic has regularly filled the role with Javier Hernandez struggling to find regular form, although a boost could be provided in the coming weeks as Andy Carroll is edging closer to a return from his latest injury.

However, many fans criticised the former Liverpool man on social media after he made an appearance in a friendly against Brentford and made it clear they want to see him offloaded.

We have gathered some of their reactions below.
