£6.3m-rated West Ham ace slams bold claim, many fans react: ‘You tell them’, ‘Well said’

Robert Snodgrass was issued a one-match ban and fined £30,000 when the Football Association charged him for improper conduct towards UK Anti-Doping officials over an incident at the club’s training facilities in February.

Our £6.3million-rated midfielder refuted the allegation at the time, but the club opted against appealing the decision.

It has now been revealed in written reasons published by the FA, and shared by Sky Sports, that when the officials arrived at Rush Green following a team meeting, Snodgrass allegedly shouted: “Have you c**** got nothing better to do?” in an “aggressive tone” which was “much louder than the jeers from the other players”.

When later confronted by said officials, the report goes on to claim Snodgrass appeared shocked and joked: “How do you know it wasn’t Andy [Carroll]?” He also supposedly told the Independent Regulatory Commission “as a Scotsman, my accent can sometimes be difficult for people to understand” and that he speaks “quite quickly, so it is possible that the Doping Control Personnel picked up wrongly what was being said amongst the players in the corridor”.

Snodgrass, however, has again refuted the allegations shared by Sky Sports from the FA’s document, this time taking to Twitter to slam the claims as ‘disappointing’ and that it was not the truth.
