3 Things Needed For Everton (A) – At Least A Point, Some Pride And Some Pace

|

The Premier League returns with a bang this weekend with the Hammers facing what could best be described as an awkward trip to Everton.

With four straight losses from the four opening fixtures, the alarm bells are starting to ring amongst the West Ham support.

What promised to be a season where we’d take a giant step forward just hasn’t happened, instead, we’re stuck at the bottom of the table, wondering what lies ahead.

As we prepare for the trip to Goodison Park, we’ve come up with three things the Hammers should be looking to do, this Sunday, in a fixture that is being broadcast live by Sky Sports.

Firstly, we should be looking to get that first crucial point on the board, although three points would be better. The longer we go without getting that first point, the greater the pressure will become.

Secondly, Pellegrini has to inject some pride and passion into the side. In the games we’ve witnessed so far this season, heads have dropped far too easily, it shouldn’t be like that, it never used to be, give your all for the famous claret and blue shirt.

Thirdly, we can’t allow the defence to be exposed by a midfield that the teams we’ve encountered so far, have strolled through with ease, it’s looked too static, too slow and devoid of any real pace. But, who should Pellegrini bring in? I’ll leave you to suggest names.
