‘1 good game in about 10’: Some West Ham fans urge Pellegrini to axe mainstay

|

West Ham’s difficult start to the season continued on Saturday against Leicester City, as the Hammers secured a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have now gone three matches without a victory in the league, which has left the club languishing in 13th spot and just three points above the relegation zone.

The performance of Mark Noble in the game caused concern as the Hammers midfielder was dismissed in the first half for a poor challenge where he lunged in with his studs showing, giving the referee no choice.

31-year-old Noble has been a mainstay in Pellegrini’s side this season, missing just two matches so far, but will now be set for a stay on the sidelines after his sending off and some supporters questioned whether he should get back into the side on his return.

Plenty were critical of the experienced midfielder and some called for West Ham to end their faith in their academy graduate, dubbing him a liability and one of the worst in the Premier League.
